2018 Big Bike Build
Hello County Fire!
It’s that time of year again to gear up for the Turning Wheels for Kids Big Bike Build in downtown San Jose.
On Saturday morning December 1st, 2018, the members of Team 1165 representing, and sponsored by, Local 1165- Santa Clara County Firefighters will, once again, be taking part in the Turning Wheels for Kids Big Bike Build.
We are looking for energetic & enthusiastic volunteers and their families to help build 3,000 bicycles in 6 hours to benefit local charities for the holidays. The BBB runs from 0730 until approximately 1400 depending on how quickly the bikes are assembled. Families & kids are welcome and highly encouraged!
Mechanical skills and tools are helpful, but not required. There is plenty of work and cheer for everyone. It's a fun and chaotic morning for a great cause. There are raffles, music, holiday cheer, tricycle races and more! For more info visit Turning Wheels for Kids website and look for The Big Bike Build 2018.
Please email your Team 1165 “Captain”- Michael Kerbyson ASAP to secure a spot on the build squad. Please commit and clear your calendar for Saturday December 1st. Please forward this email to retirees you might think will be interested.
There is NO better way to jump-start AND kick-off your 2018 Holiday Season.
Thank you!
